Children’s Policy
Tandem Social is a non-profit social initiative work cooperative that works for economic, social, environmental, educational and cultural transformation. Since 2011 we have been working with a combination of talent, knowledge, social and business experience and effort to offer quality strategic consulting services that generate real changes in the organizations we collaborate with. We work under cooperative principles and through collective management and ownership and we offer our services solely with the aim of improving and growing the transformative economy sector, the social, environmental and educational sector. Our will to transform is at the local, national, European and international level.
From Tandem Social we firmly believe that all minors have great potential and represent an essential value in our present and future society.
From Tandem Social we are committed to promote the protection, the guarantee of rights and the culture of respect for human rights. Being aware that the protection of children is a shared responsibility, we recognize and assume the fundamental task of caring for all minors who are linked to the projects in which we collaborate from our cooperative.
We respect and share the 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), known as the international legal framework that establishes the rights of minors.
Thus, this policy on minors represents a commitment on the part of Tandem Social to contribute to ensuring that minors involved in the projects with which Tandem Social collaborates are protected. Based on this objective, we have determined the fundamental pillars of our organization when dealing with minors:
- It is necessary to treat children with respect and an attitude of recognition, valuing them and listening to them.
- It is necessary to promote autonomy in accordance with their evolutionary stage.
- It is necessary to preserve safety, integrity and privacy.
- It is necessary to promote equity while respecting diversity.
- It is necessary to favor the management and resolution of conflicts in a constructive manner.
- It is necessary to promote an attitude based on the ethics and professionalism of the human team.
- It is necessary to share this policy and the good practices generated with employees and stakeholders.
- It is necessary to ensure that employees comply with the requirements determined by this policy, offering supervision, support, training and all necessary resources.
